My experience is that you need to leave the unit disconnected from the mains completely for longer than the other solutions suggest. Leave it overnight, disconnected from its power supply and with the power supply disconnected from the mains. This has worked for me twice. The first time I thought I had fixed it with something else. That did not work the second time and I realised it was something else I had done - leave it disconnected overnight (about to throw it away) before giving it one last try. I suspect that something needs to thoroughly discharge. Anyway, it is a simple solution to try. Best of luck! :-)
