Hi, i got a problem with my CDJ-1000 MK1. the mechanism that ejects the CD works very slow, and its the same when i put a CD into the Pioneer, all the little wheels seem to be slow if you compare with my CDJ-100S. Besides i wont read any disk, as soon as I put my cd it just ejects. Whats the problem?? thanks!

When i put a cd in the cdj it won't read it and ejects it

Hi,

This is more than likely a laser issue. Does it spin the disc up? The first thing the CDJ will do when you put a disc in, is look for a reflection of the laser, which tells it that there is a disc inserted. There should be a short pause whilst it does this, before it fails and spits the disc back out again. If this is the case, there is either dirt and grime on the laser lens, or the laser needs to be replaced. Normally I recommend replacing the traverse mechanism, which includes the spindle motor and laser assembly.

If this needs to be replaced, either ask for more help, or contact your local Pioneer Service Agent.

Hope this helps :)

CD is getting stuck while ejecting

1st check to see if any paper or labels are jamming the mechanism, if not them the main cam is known to cause problems.
Look here for a new cam :-

I have a CDJ 1000. Is there a firmware update? How would I do it?

CDJ1000 Mk1 & Mk2's need to be sent to Pioneer or Videotec for firmware updates, Mk3's software can be update from CD. Visit the Pioneer website for the file (to burn to disc) and instructions.
