How do you adjust the tracking on the Sylvania SRD3900 DVD player / VCR combo? We are unable to watch VHS any longer because the tracking is so off. We are unable to find any tracking controls on the romote or unit.

Tracking should be automatic nowadays with VCR's, so you may have to have it professionally cleaned unless you know how to do it, most likely a store bought cleaner will probably not work.

Where the code is listed as [### ###] the first is for the DVD and the second is for the VCR. Otherwise just the one code operates both the DVD and the VCR.
The tracking needs to be adjusted. Sometimes it's a knob on the VCR, and sometimes it's a control on the remote. Adjust it for the best picture, and the sound shoud be restored.

Found no info in manual but cleaned tape heads and able to watch tapes. I don't know if this completely fixed problem because tape watched was not best quality.
Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder.
You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
