Black ink not coming through

HP Officejet Pro L7580. Last ink running low and was coming through in lines. Changed to new black ink. No ink coming through. It was making a clunky noise when printing and when doing print head clean. After print head clean, all colours okay, no black. At the end of print head clean, soft beeping noise heard and it tried again. Then print head alignment, said Alignment Failed. Tried turning off computer and back on after around 2 minutes. Took out all inks and put back in, including ink distributers inside printer.

I had the same problem. Ended up replacing the black/yellow "printhead" and that corrected the problem.

You should try to replace all printheads. Sometimes it's the software issues rather than hardware one, so it's always smart to reinstall the drivers and check for internal damage. Here's the users manual if you need one

Hp officejet pro L7580 printer alignment failed and ink faded

Hi,

Try the steps below.

Remove the Cartridges ( bottom left side of printer ) and clean the electrical ( golden contacts ) and put them back in.
Remove the Printhead ( Open the Printer cover and you will find the Carriage that moves. Lift the latch and clean the electrical contacts ( golden contacts ) with lint free cloth

Reinstall the Printhead and wait for printer to respond. IT should fix the issue.

Hello

To keep the printer such a time time, dried ink cartridges, if it has ink, then put the cartridges into warm water and put them back after dry. otherwise you need to replace cartridges.
Refill is also an option.

Hello, I have an HP Officejet Pro L7580 All In One printer. Sat for 2 years. Barely used when purchased 3 yrs ago. Just hooked it up again. Replaced all ink cartridges...now prints are very pixelated and...

Try doing running it through it's aligment process.

It is also possible that the contacts where the ink cartridges mate up with the printer are corroded. Try using an eraser to clean the corrosion off the mating surface in the printer.

Red started to print yellow and now I have lines of black text missing

It is dirty - run it through the cleaning cycle. Also, check how much ink is remaining.

Empty ink error message

Hi, its sad to say but the printer sounds that needed to be send to the nearest service center in your area. You already reseat & replace the ink cartridge and issue still present. Please call your printer manufacturer so that they can give you more options aside from sending it to service center. Thank you so much,

Can we print with other three Color ink cartridges when Black Ink cartridge is emptied?

hi,

as u have ran out of ink you cant print anymore... you have to replace a new ink cartridge.... this is because when u print something, the colors will get mixed to print the exact color.... even if u are printing only in black, some other colors wil get mixed to produce the black color on the paper... so u need to change the ink cartridge.... u cannot run with a blank filled ink cartridge.... and the selection of your printer is very good...

thanks and regards
