When I try to send pics or messages or save to gallery I am getting this error message. Memory low. Delete or move some data from C: Phone memory. (and when I wish to try and use web I get this error message.) Web: Not enough memory to perform operation. delete some data first. Now I am not very tech savvy so I don't know what to do. I do have a memory card but how do i move data to it?

If the phone notifies you if the phone memory is getting low. To free phone memory you have the following options:

• Move data that you want to keep to an alternative memory (mass memory or memory card, if available) or to a compatible computer.
• Remove data you no longer need.

Use File Manager or the respective application in your phone to remove data or to move data to alternative memory as described in the user guide. Typically you first mark files to be removed or moved and then you select the corresponding option (Delete orMove to folder).

Use Nokia Ovi Suite to move data to a compatible computer.
In order to free phone memory, you could remove or move the following:

• Messages from Inbox, Drafts and Sent folders in Messaging
• Retrieved e-mail messages from the phone memory
• Saved Web pages. Clear the web browser cache to free some phone memory (e.g. select Options > Clear privacy data >Cache).
• Saved images, videos, or sound files (in Gallery, Photos,Videos or Music player)
• Contact information (in Contacts)
• Calendar notes (in Calendar)
• Downloaded application packages
• If there are applications which are not needed any more, uninstall them with Application Manager
• Any other data that you no longer need

If you are deleting multiple items and any of the following notes are shown: Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first or Memory low. Delete some data, try deleting items one by one (starting from the smallest item). After deleting data, restart (power off/on) your phone.
Tips: Use the memory card or mass memory instead of phone memory in the Camera or other applicable applications in case the selection is available (e.g. via Options > Settings >Memory in use).

the memory card made just to save media like videos mp3 pics...etc but to fix that just move all what you can move it from phone to memory card because the phone memory is shared between contacts messages media ...etc and you can delete what you need not from messages

Delete some unnecessary files in your phone memory like images and videos. Go to your phone gallery and delete some of those. And if you want to use the memory card as phone message storage then go to Messaging - Option - Settings - Other and then Memory in Use, select your memory card.

But if your phone is infected with a virus then you need to format your phone. One sign of infection is your phone keep sending a message randomly from your contacts without your consent.

Use these code and enter it to format your phone:
*#7370# and then the default code is 12345

Take note: Make sure you back-up your contacts or any other important inside your phone.

Well as the message suggests. delete some data to free up some memory and try again. if that doesnot help maybe you MMC card is corrupted.

i have the same problem but i cannot find the solution for it. the only thing that i always do is to save the file directly to MMC

maybe the case is that the default place for saving files on the device is set to the external card. if this is the case, which caused me similer problems on my renoir, try to set the default place for saving files on the Handset memory instead of on the external card. (the memory issue is not spacwise but cpuwise) to do that u need: Menu> Setttings> Phone settings> Memory manager> Primary storage setting> Handset memory

Memory low : delete some data This is the error message that appears in my N73 mobile once in few days. There will be no space for new messages and no messages can be sent at this time. the reason for this is lifeblog, u can find that the file lifeblog.db will be the file that has increased its file size and causes this error, just go to lifeblog-settings-item types-and uncheck all the files here, after some time the memory will be normal
-delete some files in your phone memory so that you keep receiving the new messages(your phone memory will be very less at that time)
-try to close all the applications by pressing menu button for some time
-switch off the mobile and take the battery out and then insert it back and switch on
-after you regain the memory in your phone put some files in it like a song or other files so that you can delete in the emergency times
-be patient this situation comes because of some error in memory console of your mobile and it will be solved without our interference

just change your prefered storage to memory card...actually your selected memory is phone memory...so thats why every file received from bluetooth save in phone memory..to change your stroage go to messages ------> settings-------> change your storage from phone to memory card....i can send you a detailed procedure if you want

You might want to try a "Hard-Reset" To do this you turn of your phone, press and hold "Answer Call(Green)"+"3"+"*" and then turn it on. This should reset your phone completely and clear the memory. CAUTION, back up all your vital data before you do this, it clears EVERYTHING.
