Pictures are pink

Problem just cropped up, pictures have a pink hue and nature. I,very had the camera for seven years and never a problem until now. Pictures of sunsets and water are really bad. On vacation in Panama and the camera is failing at the wrong time.

Did you really drop the camera? because the pink could be caused by a misplaced lens. But you also should check if you did not change the strings to manual. Like manual White balance or scene. Try the camera in the automatic setting. Please check the type number you gave, because Nikon did not make a Coolpix 3200. And I think the S3200 is to new.

SOURCE: memory card malfunction

Pictures can sometimes be recovered by sending the card to a service provider, or by downloading software designed to recover the pictures from the card. It is not clear weather the problem is the card or the camera, however to recover the pictures from the card would be the same process. If you do not have one you will need to buy a USB card reader to load the card on the computer. Consider buying another card to test in the camera, if you so wish. If the camera is new enough also consider contacting the manufacturer for warranty assistance. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

SOURCE: error message on D40

The guy at the camera store is probably right. The aperture is controlled by a small leg that juts out from the lens mount. This leg/lever moves up and down to open the aperture. It could be stuck or broken. Try holding the lens (small end pointing towards your face) and peer into the lens as if you were taking a picture. Find the aperture guide (a small rectangular lever) and slide it up and down. You should see the aperture blades open and close. If they do, the camera is malfunctioning and in need of repair (warranty?).

SOURCE: Nikon D100: suddenly all the pictures are black

Ellen,
When shooting with the D100 do you have the dial on top of camera set to 'Auto'? If so, then most likely you have some how adjusted to the exposure compensation, so your photos are underexposing.
To reset your camera to the factory default settings:
Hold down the bracket and flash button for two
seconds.
These are the buttons marked with a green dot
Take a test photo and see if that works.

If you do not use it for a long period this could happen. It needs repairs.

Pink hue and lines in picturel

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
