My whirlpool dryer will not start. I loaded it, shut the door, turned the power on and hit the start button. It clicked and the sensing light is on but the drum does not turn and no heat. Time does count down and all the lights are on but no action. There is no error code either. I can not find anything in our manual troubleshooting section so I have no idea of what this can be. Please can someone help me?
you have a blown thermal fuse. you can get one where they have parts it is about 5 dollars.

sounds like you have a connector that is loose.unplug dryer and check all wire connectors.
SOURCE: My dryer timer counts down to 7 minutes and then continues drying
replace the sensa board and make sure the wires on the sensors are ok

It's probably either the start switch or door switch. Try bypassing the switch and see if it starts. If it does, you can either replace the switch or try taking it apart and fixing the switch yourself. (I had a switch that simply required a copper contact to be readjusted and its worked perfectly for several years)
