If the saw has good compression and spark (check them with proper gauges) check the fuel lines and fuel filter. If this all checks out, then the issue is probably the carburetor itself.

I have a 70 cc coolster dirt beike that wont start but its gettin fire, gas and has good compression

If its getting fuel, spark, and has good compression there's only two things left. Either no or very little air or a blocked exhaust.

What's your problem?I've got a k650 partner saw that was starting and running great, really great. It ran out of fuel, we filled it, it ran for another 5 min and then died out. It didn&

You need to check it is mechanicaly sound, a compression test will give you a good idea, anything under 110 psi and you have a problem with either piston/ring wear, or it has seized.

My 89 k5 blazer is taking a jump 2 fire & then drawing ALL the juice from a good gel battery until it dies. is it the alternator ? at first it just wasn't gettin the fuel it needed, she was kinda...

Alternator issue more than likely. I believe the regulator is built in the alternator and the brushes are bad. Brush cnagnge should be considered first. It would only be an $8? fix I believe. It is easy to change brushes if you know what your doing or have a teacher.

It starts and dies

if it starts then its gettin fuel, but it might not be gettin enough.or it might be gettin too much. after it starts and dies remove spark plug, if its wet then the saw is flooding out, try cleaning the plug and airfilter,u can also add some seafoam to the gas,it will help clean any dirt out of carb. if that dont help check the carbs diaphram

Engine was running fine and shut it off 5 min. Tried restart and engine cranks but won't fire. Dual tanks 1 new fuel pump.Switch tanks still no start, tried next day, runs fine???????

Step #1 in any automobile diagnosis is "Isolate the system"
Switching fuel tanks may have seemed like a good idea, but it did not definitively determine whether the the fuel is getting to the fuel rails, so you are no closer to eliminating the fuel devery system than you were when the engine died.
If it does it again, you should do the easiest things first.
Pull a spark plug wire and check to see that you have good spark reaching the spark plugs. Good spark will eliminate the entire spark control system.
Only if you have good spark should you suspect a "part-time " fuel system problem. The Fuel delivery system can be eliminated if actual fuel pressure is checked at the fuel rail. (although you could still have injectors not firing for one reason or another)
You are losing one of these systems. (spark or fuel) only once you have determined which one, can you continue diagnosis to pinpiont the failure.

2007 yamaha virago won't start - replaced spark plugs and emptied gas tank and filled with new gas. it turns over - it has spark (fire) but won't start. Bike had been garaged for six months with full tank...

it's not that your not gettin gas it's that the gas is not getting thru the carbs to the engine. your bike will probably start w/choke on and then die, your jets are clogged and happens to most bikes that are stored w/gas in the carbs.,,,clean them if you know how or take it to a trusted mech...good luck to you...Tim
