Then you don't have the computer's power plug connected in the correct side of the UPS or the UPS in not working correctly and needs to be returned.

Hello, I think that there is not enough or spare Volts left, try connecting your pc to another electricity spot.

A battery showing 12V without a load attached means nothing. You probably have one or more weak cells and they simply cannot supply enough power. I would try a new battery before I try anything else.

Try only the computer and monitor - it may be overloaded, 485VA is around 400W only, so it won't accomodate much more than a standard computer + monitor.
Especially a laser printer is very power consuming and should not be connected to any UPS.

It sounds like your hard drive is damaged my friend. Hard drives are very, very dilicate pieces of machinary. The disk is paper thin and any sudden jarring, especiaiy dropping it creates a warp in the drive. Unplug it to prevent further damage. Don't worry in many cases you can have the data retrieved from your hard drive by using this online company that I highly recommend:

I think you battery need to be replace. If your UPS is runing fine before the blackout. Then it should be battery problem

Unplug all the cable from the Computer,
Press and Hold the Power button for 30Sec. without connecting any cable,
Connect the Power cable and Monitor cable then turn it back on,
see if your computer turn on or if you get any thing on Monitor,
if you hear any beep sound or any thing after doing all this

Mandy can you be a little more precise what won't start up? your on the Internet, something started up.

If you can repair pcb then check overload protection section.There is some shortinng in components or ic could be demage.
