Mac recording software

Go online.

This sound like it could be somekind of feedback hum, or earthing problem. Check all the connections.

get a USB interface sound card, then come out of the mixers REC OUT or BOOTH, in to the USB's LINE IN or MIC.
Then you'll need some recording software installed.

For the software I would recomend Magix Audio Cleaning Lab. You should find several different versions on Amazon.

It appears that the RR-US430 only has driver software that is designed to work under Windows Vista. There is no specific Mac software available on the Mac, are there any claims that the device will work directly connected to a Mac.
If you have an Intel Mac, and use Bootcamp, Parallels or VMWare Fusion, you could try installing Vista using one of those methods, then running the driver software from here to see if your RR-US-430 is recognized while running Vista on your Mac.
It's a longshot, but pretty much the only option you have if you really want to try using the recorder on a Mac.

Hi, when you say horrible, what do you mean?
Is it distorted?
is it too thin and bright?
Is it dull sounding?

Have you got it connected correctly?
What software are you using?

You do not need a driver for mac... just plug the usb cable into your mac... go to sound settings in system preferences and set USB to default audio input device... then install audicity... it is free and open source... play your record and hit record in audicity. done.

Presuming you're on a Mac:
System Preferences -> Sound -> Input
Select "USB Audio CODEC"

Repeat all your recording you've done thus far. Worked here.

Insert the enclosed software cd into your computer.
Follow the instructions on the computer screen to install the software. If the software does not load automatically, browse the cd and open the Read Me folder for further instructions.
Connect the small end of the USB to the USB jack on the back of the unit.
Connect the other end to a USB port on your computer.
On your computer open the Record Recording software.
For instructions on operating the Record Recording software, browse the software cd and open the Read Me folder.

I got that from the manual. You don't need a separate USB driver for it, mate, but you DEFINITELY need the cd...
