Do you mean double sided printing? If so this model printer does not have a duplex unit and cannot print double sided prints automatically. DOUBLY SIDED PRINTING WITHOUT A DUPLEX UNIT Open your Word document. Open page 1 - then Print the current page. Then put the printed page 1 back in the paper tray upside down.Open page 2 and Print the current page (page 2 will beprinted on the other side of the page 1). Repeat this procedure for the other pages.
To print duplex on a Mac:
1. After finishing your document, go to File >> Print. You will see something like the following:
2. Make sure that Layout is selected:
3. Under two-sided, make sure than Long-edged binding (or something similar) is turned on.
This will allow you to print duplex (two sided) on the Mac.
Hi there! You printer does not have an automatic duplex(double-sided printing)so you have to make a manual double-sided printing. When you start to print something , in the widow of the printer click on the preferences and look for the option "Print on both sides" or "Manual double-sided printing".When you start the printing the printer will print page page 1,3,5,7..... on the one side of the paper. After the printer finish you have to take the papers and put them back in the printer with the other side of the paper. Then the printer will start print page2,4,6,8,.....If you need any other help please replay!Tghaky for using Fixya!!
IF you have the optional duplex unit installed on your printer then when you go to print something, your printer setup screen should have a duplex/2 sided printing box you can check. This will be under printing preferences or properties. If you do NOT have the optional duplex option then you have to manually duplex. That means on say a 2 page document that you want 10 copies of you have to print 10 copies of page 1. Then take those 10 copies and place them back into the paper tray and print 10 copies of page 2 onto the backs of page 1.
Those are you 2 choices for duplex printing.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
So the left side is blank ? Usually caused by an imbalance across the printhead. Check the toggle pressure on the left side. Each toggle has a dial on top for adjusting the down pressure. Probably less pressure on the left than the right. Quick test would be to use your finger to put some down pressure on the left side of the printhead while printing. If the print is there, you have your answer. If still no printing, then something else is happening.
Print a test page by holding down the UPPER LEVEL button for 2 seconds.
If this test page prints fine it may be a driver issue.
If the test page has the right side cut off as well then something is blocking the laser on that side of the printer. Most likely place is something around the drum cartridge area. If you are familiar with the printer and this cartridge you can try removing it and checking this area for a scrap of paper or something blocking the laser light from reaching the drum.
on left side of tray are 3 fingers, for letter size paper bottom 2 are out, next one in. verify slider on bottom of tray is in place. Essentially paper not sensed correctly. print config page and see paper size
