The problem is likely a switch.
HOWEVER I found one that had intermittent like yours that was caused by a terminal on one of the pots touching the wood inside the cutout where the pots are.
HINT the black paint is purposely conductive as an electrical shield and is tied to ground. It is called "Aqua-Dag"
This can be a frustrating problem due to the intermittent failures that never fail in the shop... The problem is if you are under warranty, you would void the warranty by opening it yourself.
If they can't find anything, see if turning the pots to the ends with a bit of force cause the problem to occur. SOMETIMES the pots MAY turn just a bit so a terminal contacts the paint.
Testimonial: "We picked the guitar up from the shop and they said something about replacing one of the pots. Sounds like fredy2 may have been right on the mark. "

Might be best to learn how intonation is worked out so you can spend some time doing it yourself. I used raeguitars guide, found it to be pretty good!

SOURCE: Hello, I have found that Ibanez
There is little data on the internet about this... However my AEL20E uses 2 AA cells. Some older ones may have used a 9 volt battery. Yours should use the 2 AA cells which go into the box right by the XLR output plug.

The rod is probably broken - this causes the buzz and the bend in the neck. Replace the neck.
