SOURCE: Benq MP610 does not project any picture

OK , then this is positively a Mainboard problem.

Check if this unit is still under warranty as the BenQ MP Series came out with a standard 3 year warranty and in which case will cover the replacement of this part.

SOURCE: I have a BenQ PB6100

The inverter - the system that generates the high voltage needed by the bulb - has failed due to normal wear. When that happened it has surely done some damage in the power source also.
The projector is fixable, the inverter/ballast board will have to be replaced and the power source tested and repaired if necessary. But on an such old device, age related failures will be common from now on and in the end fixing them will cost you more than a new one - it's time to accept that this one has done its duty and it's time to retire.
Just cut your losses and buy a new one.

Benq w1000 project not turning on

Look at the manual page 34, for the indicator messages. I suspect it's the same problem I have (which I haven't had formally diagnosed yet!), which I believe is a defective fan. My projector had been making a really loud noise on startup, which varied in length and volume. Recently the projector has taken to turning itself off after being on for about a minute, and the power light flashes green, with the temp and lamp lights flashing red.

I have two issues with the pb8220 1. How do you reset the bulb hrs when a new bulb is installed? 2. Projects for about 10 seconds then goes black. The red bulb light comes on when the screen goes...

Reset the lamp hours as follows.
Press the Exit button on the projector for 3 seconds to display the total used lamp time. Press the MENU button on the projector during the lamp hour message. An adjustment message will appear. Press left or right arrow to reset lamp hours or press EXIT to leave.

My benq projector turns on for a few minutes (light and fan going strong), then it shuts down.

if it goes through shut down mode (lamp first and fans run a while), reset the settings to factory default. while you're in the menu, check the lamp hours (under settings). if they're close to 2000 hours, replace the lamp. if the projector shuts down immediately, fans and all, you have a power supply problem. you'll need to replace it.

Flickering dots on Benq PB6200 projector.

it's not the lamp. if you've replaced the cords and still have the problem, reset the settings to factory default to make sure the resolution matches. if still not ok, there may be an issue with the main board.
