The Windows error is complaining about the length of the full path. The full path includes the entire path as well as the file name. If that 'Full Path' is longer than 256 characters, then you may run into this error.

Bios upgrade for HPPavillion 110-243bw

Crucial.com shows an HP 11-243w. Although there's no mention of this requirement, sometimes you must place the same amount of memory in each slot. So the maximum would be 8 GB in two different slots. If that isn't a requirement, 8 GB might work in one slot..

I am trying to use easy transfer cable from windows 7 to windows 8 and nothing is happening why

How can a cable know what to transfer? even when you give it a name you understand, the computer can't do anything with it, as long as you don't install the appropriate program on BOTH computers. For everything you connect to a computer, you at least need a driver, so the computer knows what you are connecting and a program to let the connected device work as you want it to work.
The easy transfer cables were in use before the windows era. Till Windows Vista, they offered these cables, and still you only could transfer files and folders like you could with copying them to an external drive and back.
For all cables around you really need extra software and knowledge of setting up a computer in the first place. When you make a real backup of all your files and folders, on a windows 7 PC, as you should do on a regular base, you can restore the files and folders in a windows 8 machine. No need to try to put programs without installing them to windows 8, because you will end up with lots of rubbish on the computer and no running programs.

Mtp

  • The USB mode uses a file transfer class called the MSC (Mass Storage Class). This was developed as a way for files to be transferred onto an external drive such as a flash drive or an external hard drive. In this mode, your mp3 player will look and function like an external hard drive in that it will appear in My Computer as a separate drive.
  • This transfer class is not very specific to the transfer of media files so the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) was introduced. The difference with media files, specifically music files, is that they demand much more management. Downloading services can require special licensing and a limit on the number of playbacks a music file can have. The acquisition, restoration, updating, and backing up of these licenses as well as compatibility issues with file type and compression ratio within these digital music players demanded a more user-friendly and functional approach to file transfers.
  • For this reason, you will need to have Windows Media Player 10 or 11 available on your computer to utilize MTP. Those who have Windows Media Player 9 on their Windows 98 SE, Windows Millennium Edition, and Windows 2000 operating system will need to update using our Download Center. We recommend the use of MTP over MSC (the USB mode on your player) because it is more specific to the transfer of music files. To change this setting, press the button on the top of your player marked M

    Downloading music

The device itself is not faulty. This is Microsoft's fault, not Philips'. Some of the songs may have Digital Rights Management (DRM) encoding that the SA6025 will not support. You can right click on the trouble music file, select "Properties," and select the License or Digital Right tab - look for the msg: This file is not copyright protected. Find out if the songs that CAN'T be transferred have this message. If so, then click on acquire digital rights (or some variant of that phrase). If the files tha CAN'T be transferred DO have Digital rights protection, then you must save the files in a different format that is stripped of DRM encryption.

Before going through ths elaborate process, start simple. Disconenct the GoGear from the computer, let the goGear upate, and then reconnect the goGear to the computer and resync - if that fails, pay attention to the above paragraph.
