Lately the music i install on my 8 gig opal I

use rechargeable AAA cells if they fit.

You need to check the information on your computer.

Right click on the songs that are not showing up under artist and look at the info for them. If they don't have an artist listed, they will not show up on your ipod in the artist tab. You can add the artist name and then sync your ipod and it will update your music information for you.

I also have the rca opal red 8 gig. You need to either goto the rca website and get there conversion software its free make sure it is the same as your model. There are other ways do it but that is the easiest. After you plug in your usb you can drag and drop mp3 right into the music folder. However you have to convert video to smv. Hope this helps

go the the start menu, click my computer (with your opal plugged in of course) and it will show up in the disc drive part of the page. open it and drag the music files into the music folder. just got my 8GB opal today for 50$ at wal-mart! great deal!

the player is tring to organize its self with craetive media software. So you have no control over that of how it organizes. But you may find the songs all scrambled into the same artist folders to which is how the player save memory.

The message says it needs 6MB of space for the MUSIC DB ( the database, the artist names, etc).

You need to delete some of the recordings off of your device to free up some space.

You can manually delete the files while connected to your computer from My Computer>Device Name (e280)>MUSIC Folder.

me i have find the trick but it's not that easy only things you need to do is download de update device open the program and it's going to tell you searching now when you plug your mp3 keep pressing the play button until you see ready then let go go see on my computer and you'll see opal
