When i connect power cable in HP business inkjet 2800 its didnt work but moving dots on printer screen.....
I have had the same issue, discovered that a 680Uf 6.3v capacitor was blown on the PC board. Replaced the $.14 part, the world is happy once again.
Can you give me the step by step instruction with pictures if possible of removing the cover to get to the PC board. I have discovered two screws and nothing is coming off??

From HP:
To cold reset the printer, with only the power cable connected.
By doing so, the printer settings will default to factory settings. Please note that after a cold reset the printer settings will default to factory settings and you may have to re-configure all the settings.
Press and hold the Return and Select buttons, then press Power button to turn on the printer.
