My hydrostatic transmission on my LT1000 Craftsman

The fan blade on the hydrostatic transmission on my LT1000 Craftsman needs to be replaced. I purtchased a new fan blade but need to know how to replace it correctly. How do I loosen the top 9/16" nut on top of the fan & pulley? Is it RH thread?

Lt1000 hydrostatic drive stuck - will not engauge or disengauge
Does the tractor try to move or **** in any direction, if so you may want to check to see if the disk that controls the brakes is stuck, I've seen this many times.
