My sister has the same mp3 player unfourtunatly see put it in her back pocket sat on it then the screen broke it still worked for a couple of months and then it died the circuit board exploded. Now if your talking about downloading songs i can help all you have to do is get a program called free youtube to mp3 converter, what you do is copy the url and paste it into the place where it says paste url then hit download it will usally come up in a different place if you set it to download to your desktop then you wont have that problem.

Your Windows Media Player may need to be updated and the player may need to be formatted. Please try these steps: 1) If you do not have it installed yet, please install the latest version of WMP10. 2) Download and install the quick fix from: http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/e/0/7e055e3f-6014-43bc-b6ff-6a90ced1d032/WindowsMedia10-KB902344-x86-INTL.exe 3) Format m250 device using the Sync mode in WMP. 4) To test, transfer songs to the player using the software for your subscription music service.

Sansa e260 mp3 player came with no software cd

There is no Software Needed for this Player. It is Designed to "SYNC" with Windows Media Player. If you have got the latest WMP you will be OK, If Not, Download the New WMP. When you Start WMP on the Tabs at the Top, One of them will say Sync. Just Click and Drag your Songs to the Pane on the Right. When you are Ready Press Sync at the Bottom and it will Put them on your Player.

Oo buck time!

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
-----
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
