Important Note: Pleasemake Sure that you are able to Ping the Router's IP address, on the computer onwhich you want to map the Drive.
Installing Storage Manager Utility toMap the Storage Drive: Run the Installation Disk on the entire computer connectedto the Network, which will install Storage manager utility.
This Storage manager utility will automatically map thedrive (e.g.: Z drive) and which can be found in My Computer. Double click onthe drive created in My Computer (e.g.: Z drive) to access the data, which isstored in your Hard Drive, connected to the router.
Mapping the Drive Manually:If you do not want to Install Storage Manager then you cango for Manual Mapping.
To get the Drivemapped and listed in the My Computer then follow the steps given below.· Click Start and Right Click My Computer
· Select 'Map Network Drive'
· By Default, Select Z: in Drive box.
· In Folder box, type in ' (IP address of therouter)(Drive name)
For e.g. 92.168.2.1DriveName
Note: Connect the StorageDrive directly to the Computer to modify or check the name of the Drive
· Click Finish
Double Click on the drive to access the data, which isstored in your Hard Drive, connected to the router.
Or
You can Access theDrive Files Directly without Mapping the Drive: Click Start and Go to 'Run', Type in " (followed by IPAddress of the router)".
E.g.
\\192.168.2.1
This will take you to the Window where you can find the nameof your drive. Double Click on it to access the data, which is stored in yourHard Drive, connected to the router.
Note: The Router Does notassign IP Address to the Storage Device
