either your fuel filter or fuel pump is clogged from all the debris from the gas tank , you are going to have to change out the filter or empty your gas tank and pull your fuel pump out and change your filter on your pump out.
Sounds like old gas, or water in this front tank, could also be fuel filter if each tank has seperate filter. If gas is old remove if not old check/replace filter.
The gas filter is inside the gas tank. If you're wanting to change the filter, first remove all gas from the tank. Next, remove cover and probably the air filter so you can see the fuel lines. Use a needle nose pliers to grab the filter through the tank opening. Some chain saws have 2 lines coming from the tank. Give a little tug on the gas filter to see which line it is attached to inside. You will have to remove the line at the other end where it attaches to the pump or crankcase. Pull the filter and line up and out of the tank. Put on a new filter and pull the line back to the nipple it was attached to. Push down on the filter to seat it in the opening.
Depending on the make and model of your chainsaw, some have washers under the filter that seat against the inside of the fuel tank. Be sure to press this kind to seat it.
Hope this helps. If it does. I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,
FUEL FILTER IS LOCATED ALONG THE BACKSIDE OF THE FUEL TANK UP NEAR WHERE THE LEFT TANK STRAP BOLTS TO THE BODY/FRAME..YOU HAVE TO DROP FUEL TANK DOWN TO REPLACE FILTER..A LITTLE TRICKY TO GET AT..RECOMMEND A REPAIR SHOP IF YOU ARE NOT EQUIPPED TO DO THIS
It is a myth that sugar will mess your car up. Sugar does not dissolve in gas, it will just sit in the bottom of the gas tank. You will need to drop the tank and have it cleaned, and replace the in-tank fuel filter, but anything upstream of the fuel filter will be okay.
