Thanks for the reply. Until I put in a password, I can't get to the menu to turn the security off. I thought maybe there was a reset somewhere?

SOURCE: the projector lamp does not turn on

I have done this on several of our PT-LB50U's with sucess every time.Remove lamp cover and lamp. Then remove top of case by removing 6 screws on bottom.Remove metal shroud that would cover lamp 2 screws and remove 2 screws that hold lamp plug and move it away. You will see a little blue lever for saftey switch move it back and forth from top and bottom put back together and should turn on.

How to do lamp reset on panasonic pt-lb50u projector.

To reset the lamp hours, turn on the projector. Then press Menu and use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Options. Press Enter then highlight Lamp Runtime. Press and hold Enter for 3+ seconds until the Lamp Runtime screen is displays. Press the Power button (any other button cancels the reset). When the Power button LED turns red, unplug the power cord to the projector. You can either use the remote or the controls on the projector. Reconnect the power cord after a few minutes.

The reset instructions are on page 62 of the user manual. The manual is available from Panasonic here: https://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/PT-LB50U%20Operating%20Instructions.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have a panisonic pt-lb50ntu Projector. It will only focus the center of the image. When you adjust the focus to the bottom of the image the top and center are out of fucus. The same goes for focusing on...

Is the picture a perfect rectangle shape on the screen. If not then either adjust the angle of the screen, or use the keystone function on the menu to correct it.
Does it still not focus correctly after doing this
