The first thing I would do is to default the printer then run a width calibration. The instruction are in the user's manual that should have come with the printer. If the instruction did not come with the printer I can provide the instruction.

SOURCE: Zebra 105sl - printer does not print correct size

This can happen if you have the wrong dpi setup. For instance the 105sl can be either 203dpi or 300dpi. If your printhead is 300dpi and the label you create is expecting 203dpi, then you will see shrunken label. Your situation doesn't exactly sound like this is the case but it may be worth checking.

Seagull Scientific has drivers. Their Zebra driver is recommended by many.
http://www.seagullscientific.com/aspx/drvrmain.aspx

That's the link for their printer drivers page. Go to the bottom and click on 'Download a printer driver'. Then scroll the list to find the one you need.

SOURCE: 2844 UPS Printer Prints Duplicate Labels

The quick and simple answer is to use a different driver instead of the 2488 driver that UPS provides, that is where the problem lies..
Under printer properties, Advanced Tab, I changed the printer driver to Zebra S4MDT-200dpi and now the printer works fine. Prints labels correctly, and most of all only one label at a time... The drivers are there in the UPS software, just change which one you use and go...

Zm400 media darkness settings get reset after printings lable from SAP

The printer driver settings override the printer settings unless you tell the driver to use the printer settings. You can tell by setting the printer setting and saving it permanently. Print a configuration label. Send a label to the printer. Print another configuration label. Compare the config labels and If it changed, then the driver changed it. Set the driver as above and it will not change when you print.

How do i adjust the printer to the tear off position

Print a config label by holding the cancel button and powering on 15seconds. Check print mode = tear off. If it is in rewind mode the label stops under the print head and does not backfeed before printing. Tear off pushes the perf to the tear bar and backfeeds before printing.

The barcode cannot be printed on the direct label

Your description is not very specific but no printing can be the result of:
1. The darkness is not set high enough
2. The ribbon is loaded backwards
3. You are trying to do direct thermal printing (no ribbon) but the label stock is not direct thermal stock.

Maybe you can provide more details.

Hope this helps,

My zebra only prints the left half? I have tried calibrating, it does nothing. Can you help me out? Thanks

One of two situations exists:
1. If the printing stops with clear stopping edge, then the PRINT WIDTH setting has been changed from the default full width setting of 104mm.
Best way to check this is to take your tallest and widest label and print out a configuration label. This is done by turning off the priner, pressing the CANCEL key and holding while turning on the printer. Release the button when the calibrate led turns off. A config label will print and you can check the setting for PRINT WIDTH.

2. If the printing stops by fading away to the right side, then that is caused by a pressure imbalance across the printhead. There is more pressure on the left side than the right side. There are two toggles the press down on the printhead and the pressure can be adjusted on each by turning the knob on top. Readjust the right side until printing returns across the label.

Hope that helps !

I have a Z140XiIII that used to have a ribbon and thermal transfer stock. we changed the stock to not require a ribbon, so we removed the ribbon and set the menu to Thermal direct. labels print OK but the...

If the printer is flashing "Ribbon in" then it sounds like the printer setting to Thermal Direct is being changed back to Thermal Trans. Verify this after sending a format. This is very common because the printer is bring over-ridden by the software and/or printer driver when you send a format.

Look for a setting in the software / driver for direct thermal and make the change there.

Hope that helps.

Everytime I print a label it stops short of the

This is an easy printer to fix since there is only one control button. Turn the printer off. Hold the green feed key down while turning the printer on; once the red light begins flashing, let go of the feed button. This will do three things: the printer will calibrate with the installed media, it will print a configuration label and the printer will go into dump mode. Press the feed key again. One more label will come out with with the words "Out of Dump" printed at the top. If the printer still fails to print, remove the ribbon and try the same procedure with direct thermal labels (UPS or FedEx). From there, consult the manual for more troubleshooting tips.

My Zebra LP 2844 printer is not aligned and the info on the tag prints onto the next tag, how do I fix this?

Calibrate the media that is in the printer. Power the printer on while holding the feed key. When it flashed red, let go. It will calibrate, print a config label, then go into dump. Press the feed key again to exit dump. Once this is complete, your printer should advance only one label at a time when you press the feed key. If this is working as expected, but the labels are not printing right when you print from you application, there is a problem with your format or driver settings.

Will not print on all four lables, and does not print in the same place each time.

for starters you need to calibrate your printer.

Note: If printing in Direct Thermal Mode, default the printer first (4 flashes).

1. Load the labels and ribbon (if used) and close the printer
2. Turn on the printer power.
3. Allow the printer to feed or error out.
4. Press and hold the feed button until the green status LED flashes once, then twice. Release the feed button.
6. The printer will set the media sensor for the label backing being used and then automatically feed until a label is positioned at the printhead.
7. A profile of the media sensor settings (similar to the example in Figure 1) will print. Upon completion, the printer will save the new settings in memory and the printer is ready for normal operation.
8. Press the feed button. One entire blank label will feed. If this does not happen, try defaulting (Hold the FEED button until it flashes 4 times)

"warning Ribbon In" error message

Had the same problem with a ZM400. As stated in the User manual (can be downloaded http://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/resource_library/manuals.results.html?FRRBarcodePrinters=6882), warning "Ribbon in" is usually caused by the wrong printing method (thermal direct instead of thermal transfer [which should be selected for ribbbons]). My error disappeared after choosing "thermal transfer" directly on the printer. For network printers this needs to be set by an admin in the network settings for the the printer to solve the problem permanently.
