Space bar missing on hp dv9000 laptop

Get a replacement space key complete with niple and you will see how it connects on your keyboard
Do be afraid if damaged keyboard are cheap

To clean your laptop's keyboard you have to look under your laptop, you can see like keyboard icons with some scews, so, open them, they will let yout to remove your keyboard.
So now your can remove just your keyboard slowly for some connectors on the motherboard then clean it with a tooth brush.

You can only clean your keyboard with a toothbrush without rmoving it,

Try to remove the space bar key and clean under it.

Try to hard press the space bar for about 5 times, it can release the pusher under the key.

it some liquid was spilt on it you have to remove the keyboard and clean the plastic under ther keyboard.

Removing the keyboard can be a somewhat daunting task, until you have instructions accompanied by some good illustrations..

well in order to get the repalcement call hp tech support i.e. 8004746836 and pay $298+taxes to get it replaced...if the NB is oow

As far as i know it is not possible to buy a complete replacement keyboard for a laptop, however, you can plug in an external keyboard or take it to a shop like PC world and ask for them to replace the keys for you. Generally this isn't an expensive job.
