If you have created a Directory and the scanner is saving every scan there as a .jpg or similar then it is doing what is is paid to do

To create a multipage document you need to do it as a .pdf or a.tiff

Try using Adobe Reader 8 or similar

Products to make multipage files are available on www.filehippo.com

I have a MP240. Can this printer scan multiple pages and make it into one document? If so, how? If not, then I'll persevere with emailing separate pages...grrr

Not sure ?
try if it has a top document feeder and then scan to a p.c if it has this option ?
otherwise
scan each document to seperate files and then insert each file into a word document using ms word select insert , picture from file (try holding CRTL to select multiple files at once with mouse click)
Then save word document and attach word document and send

How do i make multiple pages scan as one document rather than each pages saving as seperate documents?

One of two things I can suggest:

1. make sure you are not scanning in JPEG or TIFF format as these are typically single page documents only. PDF is your best option for scanning.

2. Check settings, as some scanning software has an option that you can turn on or off depending on whether you want a single file with all pages or multiple files each containing a page.

When scanning on this machine, each page comes out as a seperate picture. I need to know how to make it scan as 1 document with multiple pages.

Your scanner is probably now saving the document as a tiff or jpeg which can only be single pages. You need to adjust your software so that your scans are saved as a PDF. As you provide no details on your system, I cannot tell you how, just check the settings, file type will be there somewhere. It might even give you the option for file type after the scan before it is saved.

My Epson CX3810 all-in-one priner does not allow me to scan mulitiple document into one file. Each page is scanned as a seperate document.

The documentation is here: http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/cx38__/cx38__ug/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm

You can scan multiple pages of a document on the document table and save them as one PDF file on your computer. Epson Scan displays an editing page so you can view the pages as you scan them and reorder, rotate, or delete them as necessary.

Select PDF as the file type setting.

When prompted "scanning complete.  Do you want to continue"  Click "add page"

Its scannong a documents crerating a seperate jpeg file per page, can i scan into a complete document and how?

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} It depends on the software you're using for scanning.
In the case of the "HP Solution Center" - when you choose to "Scan Document":
On the first screen you get, just below "File Type", you can choose the option "Save to File Save Options…".
On the next screen (again, just below "File Type") you can, as desired, Tag/Untag the option "Create One File Per Scanned Page…"

I seem to have a problem scanning on the KM C351. When scanning a multiple page document I recieve 1 .pdf file per page. This happens whether or not Seperate Scan is selected. Right now the scan are sent...

the file type is set to single page
1.press the scan button on the control panel
2.select scan setting.
3.select file type.
4.select multi page to have the entire scan to be sent as a single file.
if you are sending jpegs they can only be sent as single page files on this machine. only pdf's and tiffs can be sent as multi page files

We have a Konica Minolta C652, scanning books to pdf

Hi Potahal,
You can do it straight from the photocopier by using the "Seperate pages" button/option. Then you just keep scanning page after page and chose "Finish" to build all the seperate pages into one pdf.
