SOURCE: suburban battery keeps dying

locate the brain under the drivers side under-dash area. this may require you to undo a couple of bolts. you will need a 7MM and a 10MM depending on the year of the truck. from there you can unplug the the 6 pin main ignition harness from the brain. it may just be that the battery is no good. a trip to one of the major chain auto part stores can have them check your battery for free. Good luck.

I have a python 7701V on my Nissan Titan. I put a new battery in my truck and now the alarm is going off. How do I reset it?

To reset the alarm on your Nissan Titan with a Python 7701V alarm system, try the following steps:

Locate the alarm's control module, which is usually located under the dashboard or in the engine compartment.
Locate the valet/override switch.
Use the valet/override switch to turn off the alarm, which will reset the system.
If the above steps do not work, refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions on how to reset the alarm on your particular make and model of vehicle.
Note: Some systems may require a code to be entered to reset the alarm, which is usually provided in the owner's manual or can be obtained by contacting the Nissan dealership.

I have 2004 chev tahoe w/ a viper remote starter system, but no key fob. I replaced the car battery & now the cars computer won't let it start. How do I reset the computer?

The car's computer wont let it start?
Well, if you changed the battery and the viper alarm is the issue; locate the push button valet/programming switch. Turn the ignition on, press and release the switch. The alarm will disarm and you can start the vehicle.
To put the alarm in valet, turn the ignition on then off, within 10 seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED will illuminate solid to show that the system is in valet.

I bought my car used with an aftermarket prestige alarm w/ remote start. Battery and alternator went bad. They have been replaced. The car will not turn on and alarm remote is not working.

Locate a black push button switch under the dash or near the drivers side kick panel (older model), or the alarm has a push button LED light(newer model) or the Valet switch is in the antenna(newest model). Turn the ignition on, press and release the switch one time. This should disarm the alarm.

For programming: turn ignition on, press and release the valet switch three times: you will hear one chirp from the alarm, press the lock button on the remote. Press and release the valet one time, you will hear two chirps from the alarm, press the unlock button on the remote. Repeat as necessary. Turn igniton off to exit programming. Test remote for proper functioning.

Battery went dead so replaced the battery but now alarm system doesn't work. Keyless entery remote works to open and lock doors but no alarm. How do I reset the alarm on Ford explorer 1999?

It sounds like the system is in valet mode. Depending on the brand and model that is installed, the procedure to turn off valet mode can vary. The most typical way is to turn on the ignition key and press and release the valet button, or if it is a switch, to flip the switch

I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring. I bought it used last year, so I am not too familiar with the car alarm in it. The alarm was fine until my battery died a few months ago. After the car was jumped, the...

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

94 crown vic remote start??

you will not need anything else. If your not planning on doing it yourself than you will need to bring it to a shop to have it put in. This car is pretty system install. You can obtain a wiring diagram for it and put it in yourself. But if not you will not need anything else for this vehicle

Toad sterling car alarm lost manual and need stop code.

This worked on my car when the clicker died:

Put the car in valet mode. Disconnect the NEGATIVE battery terminal. Put the keys in the ignition and turn it as far forward as you can (as though trying to start it) and let it spring back. Reconnect the negative terminal. This should reset the alarm to valet mode. Programming varies from brand to brand. Contact an alarm dealer and they can help reprogram the remote(s).
