Do a fresh boot.
Under My Computer, Right Click on the DVD-RW Drive. Select Properties. If the Recording tab is there then select it. Tick the 'Enable CD recording on this drive' box.
If there's no recording tab then you'll have to edit the registry...
Note: Back up your registries first (just in case).
Run RegEdit
Look at -
HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Explorer\CDBurning\Devices
The value needs to be '2'. Right Click on Drive Type to modify this value. Exit RegEdit. You should now have the recording tab under properties. Check the 'Enable CD recording' box.
Hopefully the burning software will work now.
Some things to think about, no all products (such as Nero or Roxi are set to be compatible with MS compatible products, Pioneer is a goos product but may noe be compadible with Roxio, try Windows Media Player this will tell you if it is Roxio or something else
