Pixel line screen tv

I have a Sharp Lc-46d62u tv that is approximately 6 yrs old. Just today I'm having issues with greenish blue pixels showing up on the screen. I thought it might be an issue with cables, but we have an appletv as well as a ps3 connected to it and regardless of the connection we have the green pixels. I've tried to power down the tv and turn it back on because that has worked in the past when this issue has happened. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, you have a defective LCD panel. If your TV is still under warranty, contact Sharp to get the TV exchanged. Otherwise, LCD panels cost more than the TV is worth.

Sounds like an impact to the screen. Screens can't be fixed.

SOURCE: Picture pixelation

TV manufacturers know that a certain percentage of TV's will end up with dead pixels. I believe there is an app called UDPixel that can fix dead pixels on monitors and TV's. Google it.

Testimonial: "I don't think the pixels are dead, I'm just getting a lot of green pixels on the screen regardless of what I'm watching, ps3, appletv, cable. Here is a screenshot. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6938905/IMG_0142.JPG"

SHARP 70" LC-70UH30U has a blue vertical line on the right side of screen. is it fixable? T-con board? new screen?

It means one vertical output line for vertical pixels for the screen controller is either disconnected or damaged. Most likely the screen needs replacing or the controller itself.

Two little yellow boxes on my screen

How small are the boxes? If they're extremely tiny chances are what you're looking at are called pixels and they're stuck. There are several ways to fix stuck pixels, try the ways listed here- http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-Pixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor
or
http://www.jscreenfix.com/

If it's not a stuck pixel(s) try resetting your tv to default settings by selecting ' restore factory default ' or ' restore default settings ' in the tv's menu.

Sharp aquos lines threw the picture

I've seen this problem before and if caught early (usually only a few pixels), its fixable. But if it has already started forming a "line" it might be too late and you might have a defective LCD panel. Most of the time, doing the factory initialization helps with this problem.

(WARNING: THIS GIVES YOU ACCESS TO THE SERVICE MENU. DO NOT ADJUST ANYTHING IN THE SERVICE MENU OTHER THAN WHAT I PROVIDE YOU IN THESE INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU DECIDED TO ADJUST ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT I PROVIDE YOU IN THESE INSTRUCTIONS, I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING WRONG HAPPENS TO YOUR TV.)

  1. unplug tv
  2. press and hold at the same time “Vol –“ and “input” button on the TV set.
  3. while holding those buttons, plug the tv back in
  4. the tv should turn on by itself, keep holding the buttons until the letter “K” appears. Then let go
  5. then at the same time press “Vol –“ and “Ch. Down”, you should see the service menu appear (if it does not appear, try pressing the two buttons again, it needs to be exactly at the same time)
  6. Then use the “Ch. Down” button to navigate down the service menu until you see “Industry Init” (NOT Industry Init +cause)
  7. Then press “Vol +” to toggle it to “ON”
  8. Then “/////////////////” should appear.
  9. when the screen turns GREEN, unplug the TV. Wait about 30 seconds, then plug the TV back in.
  10. Then continue on with the initial setup again.
