I have an HP laptop running Win XP and Windows Media Player 10. I installed the Cyberlink DVD decoder and it will play a DVD fine. When I plug in my projector, Media Player shows "Unknown DVD" in the upper right and does not display the "play" button making it impossible to play the DVD. This doesn't make any sense. Why would Media player not be able to play a DVD just because an external device is plugged in? As for anti-virus I use Avast. Thanks.
I like this post, thank you for sharing. spades online is my favorite game. Do you want to play with me?
"This is not about the projector, this is because your windows media player can't play DVDs as it lacks the DVD decoder. You can download the codec pack from the given link: https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx friday night funkin, or you can just play the DVD with a piece of DVD player software ."
thanks for your helpful response. All questions answered
Tip 1. Clean your DVD disc before putting into the DVD drive
DVD disc drive lens cannot read discs properly if they are dirty or dusty. To ensure your DVD plays correctly, clean it with a soft cloth first.
Tip 2. Check your DVD region codes
There are 6 DVD region codes, which means some DVD discs may be incompatible on computers (unless you use a region-free DVD player) or DVD players than the ones authorized to play them.
