The dispenser solenoid started to click on and off,if I engage the lever ice will come out and solenoid good for 5 minutes or so, and then starts clicking again. If I switch to water, the water will not stop
You need to replace both the solenoid for the ice maker and the water dispenser. Easy job, less than 1 hour. Parts should be under $50. Facing the back of the refrigerator the solenoids are located on the lower right behind the hardboard cover where the water comes.
The he replacement parts are a little different than what you have, and much easier to work with. Just cut the water lines close to the old solenoids (you don't have much extra to play with). You'll just push the water lines into the new solenoid valves.
Make sure the water is off and the refrigerator is unplugged.

THE FRONT PANEL IS DEFECTIVE. HAVE REPLACED TWO IN LAST MONTH. JUST TAKE NOTE OF MODEL WITH DEALER AS CERTAIN MODELS HAVE TO HAVE THE POWER BOARD REPLACED AS WELL.
We had the same problem. Our frigerator is 1.5 year old. Everytime we try to dispence water or ice the dispencer clicks and the whole thing turns of. We had a GE repairman come by: the electronic board needs to be replaced: total cost $350. (cost of the board only: $150. We are considering disconnecting the dispencer by unplugging the board (according to the repain man the ice maker wil still work)or buy a new refrigurator (for sure NO GE!!!!!!)

Hi
If
The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice
Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.
The ice maker is producing ice poorly
When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.
First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.
Thanks

I came across this problem recently , and found the main control board was bad . Check this site first , to see if it can be covered under warranty .

It was covered under warranty , at the previous customers residence .
