Mci900 Philips Streamium mci900 does not switch on as there is no power. Fuse problem?

amazing fact they look inside for any coin cell at all

yes batteries fail, all there not changed out yet?
if only remote dead it too has batteries
is UNIT DEAD is screen dead, or stuck
is wifi only failing.
is it struck in stand by mode?

water dripped in to the unitl

Modern electronics use a switch mode which has an oscillator.
When they fail, they tend to work fine until the power is removed and just don't power up.
There are components called capacitors which dry out and age which is most likely what has happened to your unit as they stop the oscillator starting up.
Its relatively easy for qualified engineers to find and fix these faults but sorry to say not something easy for someone without knowledge of smpsu's.
These power supplies can be dangerous to work on and can even store high voltages after being off for a while.

I imagine if it was a current product and enough users complained to Philips a 'fix' might appear.

No solution but I have the same problem, looks like we are on our own with this one, have you asked Philips, I did about an hour ago

hey this happened to mine. I contacted phillips and as it was still under warranty and they collected it, fixed it and returned it within a week. do that and see how you get on

Use new batteries for the remote.
