I can not open a saved game - Nintendo Pokemon FireRed for Game Boy Advance

Depends which game your playing... Usually go under saved games and pick it.

The answer is really funny, using all of my "out of the box thinking" I opened the save game dialog and typed save and it saved. Is like a malicious joke from the programmers. I have the HD version of this game.

With all the hours and effort put into progressing in a video game, protecting your saved files becomes an important matter.

Creating a backup on a flash drive ensures that your game will be preserved. Having a copy is also handy if you get a new computer or if you merely want to keep your character safe for a sequel that allows you to import your progress from a previous game.

While you cannot save a game to a flash drive while playing, transferring or copying a saved game file to a flash drive is a simple process.

Locate the saved game files on your hard drive.
The location will depend on the game that you are playing (see Below)

Tips & Warnings

BioWare games save within the "BioWare" folder created in the My Documents folder.
Most games purchased through Steam will be saved under Program Files>Steam>Steam Apps>[Username.]

A Game independently installed will likely create its own folder within Program Files.
You may need to visit the game developer support site to help track down that game's specific location.
Open your flash drive.
Click and drag the entire saved game folder to the flash drive to make a copy.

Depending on the amount of file data, this may take a few minutes to complete.
Do not delete this folder on your hard drive or uninstall the game until you have verified that the saved game files work on other computers.


To transfer the saved game, plug the flash drive into a computer with the same game installed. Open your flash drive. In a separate window, open the same directory location where you found the saved game on the other computer.


Click and drag the saved game folder on your flash drive to the game folder on the new computer.
If a window pops up asking if you would like to overwrite similarly named files, click "Yes."

This means that the save file is either corrupted, or has been saved on a less or more updated version of the game, so there are compatibility issues. The only way you can make it work is if you have the same patched version of the game as the saved file.

There is no easy fix. Well, there is, but you have to open the game cartridge
all gameboy game cartridges have a battery inside. this battery powers the save module. Pokemon gold is such an old game that the battery has likely died; open the game, replace the battery, and it should work. Leave me good feedback please.

connect psp to computer, open sd card psp folder and open game folder and save games in folder....

look if you dont want to lose your saved data connect it to the computer open up your connected psp go to the psp folder look for the save data folder open it and you should see folders called ULUS something now click on the view tab and switch it to thumbnails and you should see the picture of your game..in the folder.. just drag and drop to your desktop..or copy??? if your starting a new game you can drag that ulus folder and put it in saved folder load game and your save data will be there!! another way to save is by using the gold coins to buy a toad house then u can save ur progess

Open the cartridge and change the small battery inside

that is awesome .....well our then it not needed.
