  1. Connect to your XP PC via USB
  2. Find the Jukebox drive in 'My Computer'
  3. Right click it and left click properties
  4. Goto the tools tab
  5. Error checking, click check now
  6. Tick both boxes then Start
  7. When finished checking close all windows
  8. Click 'safely remove hardware in the bottom right near the clock' (you need to do this every single time you remove the jukebox or your filesys may be corrupted again)
  9. Remove the USB lead from the jukebox and enjoy

How to update my lyra2780a

First you need to download the files from here
http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=44
you need
RD2780 Lyra™ A/V Jukebox Software Package (Version 1.0.3.5)
and
RD2780 Lyra™ A/V Upgrade Utility

download both files. the format the lyra from windows explorer (fat32).
the install the a/v jukebox. it will put an icon in the system tray. right clic it and select "update system files" (or something like that). when it´s done, disconnect the lyra from the PC and reboot the lyra. It will update automatically.
then download the second file to update firmware. that should work.

System file corrupted

I actually fixed this!!! Mine had been giving me the "file system corrupted" error. So, I opened it up (unscrew the screw on the back, pry the back cover off with a small flat head screwdriver or a key, etc.) and saw that the connector between the CF drive and the motherboard had come apart.

I re-inserted the cable into the groove of the connector on the motherboard, pushed the broken/separated piece of plastic that serves as a retainer for the cable back down, held it in place, and taped it down with a 1/4 inch wide strip of duct tape (taped all the way around the connector/cable to help keep it in). I put the Lyra back together and then turned it on... and it WORKED! It came right on into the normal menu! Yay!

Good luck other people, I hope that this is the same thing that happened to your player and that you can also fix it! =)
