My electrolux EWF1087 has power (power light and door light is on) but the LED screen is blank with no other lights on consol. Machine will not start. Looks like it may have started when I turned it on as towels are a bit wet. I did try a manual reset (hold start and reset button at same time while turning machine on) but this did not work. Any advice?

change water valve sounds like its stuck open ... if not only other thing it could be is your main pcb control board ££££££

your door lock has blown/short circuit turn power of disconnect plug take top of machine look down inside machine toward door lock and you shoud see the catch push hard with your finger and door will open be careful as there are some sharp edges in there.

sounds like door lock is faulty e42 is saying door is still open. could be wiring to door lock also.

Turn the power off and leave for 5-10 minutes then turn on. This should release the door lock the problem could be the pump drain filter is blocked clean this and it should resolve future problems.
