Vaccum condenser light flashing on sub zero

Usually the problem is not with the dirty condenser. Most likely there is freon leak at evap coils on fresh food side. You can charge it with freon to proper pressures, but it will leak out; or replacing evaporator - thats most common place where freon leaks out. Here is my video how i do it. Thanks.

The unit either encountered a brown out or a surge which burned up the board for the condenser. It had black marks on the board and the indoor unit was flashing. Replaced the board and the unit is still...

After replacing the burned condenser board, check also the entire condensing unit if still ok ( compressor and fan motor). If the light inside the indoor unit is still flashing, the timer is still not giving signal for the compressor to start. Adjust temperature and wait for 3-5 minutes. It light continue flashing, there is something wrong with the indoor unit control.

The ice cube indicator is blinking

From the manual:

The Control Center monitors refrigerator and

freezer temperatures as well as the ice maker

system. If there is a temperature or ice maker

problem, you'll be alerted by a flashing

SERVICE indicator light. This same SERVICE

light will also flash if the condenser needs

cleaning. Before calling for service, please

check and see if your condenser area needs

cleaning. Refer to Condenser Cleaning,
page 22.

CONDENSER CLEANING

In all Built-In models, the condenser is located

behind the grille. First, remove the grille. Then

using a soft bristle brush, vacuum to remove

dust and lint from the condenser. NOTE: To

avoid bending the condenser fins, be sure to

vacuum in the direction of the fins (up and

down). Clean the condenser area every three

to six months.

CAUTION

Before cleaning the unit, shut the electricity

off at the control panel. When you

clean the condenser, wear gloves to avoid

injury from the sharp condenser fins.

Failure to clean the condenser could

result in temperature loss or mechanical
failure or damage.

Vacumm Condenser light flashing

Hello.

Your unit is sensing that the condenser fan is running at a lower rpm than it should. that is how you get the signal. You will need to replace the condensor motor if your coils are cleaned already. That is the only cure for your problem. I hope this helps you out.

601R sub zero vacuum condenser notice

Your problem might be serious enough to warrant a repairman's visit. But this was my experience: An official Sub Zero repair company in NYC told me this: If the "vacumm condenser" light keeps flashing after you've opened and cleaned the condenser grill, then either pull out the plug for the Sub Zero refrigerator or turn off the circuit breaker (or fuse) in your house that leads to it, wait for some minutes and then turn back on. It is NOT enough to turn off the unit using its own internal on-off switch - it has to be totally disconnected from the AC. I did so, waited 15 minutes, turned back on, and it worked!! I had vacuumed the condenser grill twice but the "vacuum condenser" light kept flashing AND the refrig would go bonkers if set below 38. Now the flashing warning is off and it's down to 35. Great !!!
