To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

The component can be replaced if you can find an equivalent part and have experience soldering, or know someone who can solder. It would normally be easier to find someone who has the same drive or to buy another drive of the same model and just move the circuit board from the working drive to the not working drive, copy the data off of it, then move the circuit board back. Or you can just keep the working circuit board on the drive and continue using it as you did before.

Yes, however I would be surprised if changing the two Ics will repair the set, as that chassis should always have the sub-deflection board replaced since most of the resistors will be stressed. Thats why samsung changed the later chassis's by removing the convergence circuits from the deflection board as its almost 98% certain that the deflection board will need replacement when the ICs fail with those chassis designs unless every component in the convergence circuit is replaced which will cost more than the deflection boards do. But you may get lucky but if the ICs dont cure the problem you will need a new deflection board

Some el.components are loose on tv circuit board.I have removed the back cover,supported tv picture tube 45 deg.against wall.This tv is heavy!One screw on left holds the circuit board to bottom case.Removed and supported this board on few heavy books.Turned tv on and gently probed all the componets on top of the board with plastic drinking straw.In my case transistors Q-830 and Q-421 needed resolder loose joints.These components are mounted on flat aluminium heat sink strips located sligtly left of center of the circuit board.Also blobed bit of silicone into base hole and foot of alu.heat sink to support it.

If you found a bloated capacitor on the circuit board, that one needs to be replaced not the board. You can see the part number on the capacitor itself. Also please look for any burned IC and neighboring components. If you found additional burned components, it also need to be replace. Contact a pro tv technician to replace it.
