If you run a repair with the recovery disc you won't lose any info. The only time you'll lose the info is if you run a complete reload. Run the system disc until it gets to the point of finding installed operating systems, at this point instead of deleting the partition, press R and it will reinstall the operating system files only leaving other installed files and programs intact. Keep in mind that many times when this happens, it's a hard drive failure. If it is a hard drive failure, then you will have to replace the hard drive and you will lose the info, sorry.

SOURCE: Recovery Disc will not work

That's terrible. The right soution should be to try Ashampoo Uninstaller or similar software that gets off EVERY BIT of unwanted software. Use function "Install new applications". It asks for setup.exe, install.exe or similar executable file, that runs Antivirus 360 installer. Point to it. After all the installations completes, "Ashampoo Uninstaller" logs the installation. Now uninstall the unwanted program using "Uninstall logged programs". That's it!
If you really damaged your operating system, do buckup of your important data and reinstall OS

Hi,

try using ActiveBoot suite v5.0.5, when turnig on your computer. This program will scan your computer and show u all the errors, missing files, wrong dll,...and repair them. It worked very well for me as I had a TROJAN virus on my Toshiba satellite 300 and couldn't even boot anymore.
After that try use the RegistryBooster tool witch solves every windows problems.

Blue screen error. Is there a way to recover information int he hard drive?

The BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) doesn't affect the data on the HDD. Only the files that were in use at that exact moment MAY have been damaged. In rest, you don't have to worry because your information is still there.

Kernel stack inpage error

Hi Janhams,

Unfortunately the screen you are seeing has a name for it "the BSOD" or blue screen of death (click here for more info). by your description of the clicking sounds id say that it is an intermediate to serious hardware problem, but there are so many reasons for the BSOD that its hard to nail it down to just one.
That said the BSOD can happen because of conflicting software and/or hardware failures. Think back a bit and try to remember if you put any new software on the pc before this started happening. If you did, try uninstalling that software.

If the answer is no then:

If it were my PC as soon as i see the BSOD I would replace the RAM memory and wait to see if it happens again. You can find the RAM just inside the CPU its an easy job (couple of screws and your done) and i can walk you through it if you like.
If it did happen again I would reformat the hard drive and again wait to see if the BSOD shows its ugly head.
If you follow the two steps above and you still get the BSOD then you know that its a more serious hardware problem and needs some hands on maintenance by a professional.

If you choose to reformat and want to do it yourself please click on my profile and ask me How do i reformat.
