Latitude E6400 time take to diagnostic boot

The time it takes for a Dell Latitude E6400 to complete a diagnostic boot can vary depending on several factors, including the specific hardware configuration of the computer, the number of diagnostic tests that are run, and the condition of the hardware.
Typically, a diagnostic boot on a Dell Latitude E6400 can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the specific model and the complexity of the diagnostic tests.
The diagnostic boot process on the Dell Latitude E6400 starts with a pre-boot diagnostic test that checks the basic functionality of the computer's hardware, including the memory, hard drive, and keyboard. This test typically takes only a few minutes to complete.
After that, the system will run a more extensive set of diagnostic tests which include PSA (Pre-boot System Assessment) and ePSA (Enhanced Pre-boot System Assessment) . These tests take longer to complete and check the more in-depth hardware such as the system board, processor, and other internal components.
You can also run an extended diagnostic test that checks all the hardware components of the computer, including the memory, hard drive, and other internal components. This test takes longer to complete and is typically used when the computer is experiencing hardware-related issues.
Please note that the diagnostic boot process can take longer if the computer is experiencing hardware-related issues, and if the computer fails the diagnostic tests, it will stop the boot process and show an error message.

Spot screen

Hello

First find an external monitor to test if its the screen on your laptop or the graphics chip in your laptop. If you have an external monitor then hook it up to your laptop and toggle the video over to see if you still see the spot.If it only shows on the laptop screen the Replace the screen.
Another thing you can do is run the built in Diagnostics
Diagnostics before windows using the F12 Diagnostics
* Reboot and press F12 to enter the Boot Menu
* When the boot device list appears, highlight Diagnostics and press Enter
* The computer begins to run the Pre-boot System Assessment, a series of embedded diagnostics that perform initial testing on your system board, keyboard, hard drive, and display
* If the Pre-boot System Assessment completes successfully, you receive the message Booting Dell Diagnostic Utility Partition
* Press any key to continue
* Press any key to start the Dell Diagnostics from the Diagnostics utility partition on your hard drive
* After the Dell Diagnostics loads and the Main Menu screen appears, click the button for the option you want to run -
Express Test = Performs a quick test of devices. The test typically takes 10 to 20 minutes and requires no interaction on your part
Extended Test = Performs a thorough check of devices. The test typically takes 1 hour or more and requires you to answer questions periodically
Custom Test = Tests a specific device. You can customize the tests to be run
Symptom Tree = Allows you to select tests based on a symptom of the problem you are experiencing
* When you have finished running a test, close the screen to return to the Main Menu screen. To exit the Dell Diagnostics and reboot the computer, close the Main Menu screen.

Which three fuse's did you replace ? You should check for B+ voltage on both side's of the fuse . Two little metal tabs on top of the fuse. Voltage on both , fuse is good .
Try radio self-diagnostic mode .
A fluctuating AC voltage audio signal is sent to the speakers directly from the audio unit to reproduce sound. The audio unit has a self-diagnostic mode that can be entered by pressing preset buttons 3 and 6 simultaneously.

    • Preset button 2 = EEPROM BLOCK STATUS. This test shows the validity of memory to calibrate the clock, and seek sensitivity.
    • Preset button 3 = EXIT DIAGNOSTICS.
    • Preset button 4 = Software configuration level. This test queries each radio system controller for its software configuration level.
    • Preset button 5 = DISPLAY TEST. This test lights all the display segments for five seconds and then turns all segments off.
    • Preset button 6 = RAM CONTENTS READOUT. To enter these tests, press preset button 1 while in the speaker walk-around test, then the desired preset button.
