Futura 350-can't pick up bobbin thread and upper thread is caught

I have been using my futura 350 with no problems...until now. I don't know what I may have done, but the upper thread is catching in the bobbin area-not where the area where the bobbin sits, but the steel part that circles under it when you move the hand wheel (I hope that is clear to understand) and it keeps circling around it, getting more and more caught and tangled. The back of the shirt I am embroidering on has many tangled nests of thread-all upper thread as the bobbin thread never catches. I need to fix the machine so that it catches the bobbin thread and does not catch my upper thread. Please advise.
Thanks

try changing the needle
check to make sure the top thread has not come off the thread take

The bobbin case keeps getting pulled out of its slot as thread is caught on a part as it attempts to pick p bobbin thread

Did you floss the bobbin holder to make sure you don't have any bits of thread, you put the bobbin case back in correctly, have been changing the needles frequently and according to type of fabric just like regular sewing and have been using the lint brush and drops of oil like the manual illustrates?Detach the embroidery unit to use the sewing side to get the situation corrected, it's much easier on that side. Then when you have that situation corrected, run a zigzag test stitch with the thread and bobbin fil until you have a perfect zigzag going on your sample fabric sandwich--adjust the tension and you should have it.

MY THREAD KEEP BRAKING

it could be several things
check the needle to see if bent-roll on flat surface to see if it roll correctly
if the needle makes a popping sound when it penetrates the fabric is blunt
check to make sure the needle is not in backwards
check upper tension it may be to tight
thread may be hanging up in bobbin area-clean bobbin case area for lint or loose threads
check to make sure the thread is not caught somewhere
try using different thread

Singer futura 250. while sewing the E4 code

Are you using bobbin thread? Is your thead new? Is themachine threaded correctly?

Make sure that when you thread the upper part the thread go under the circle that pull it.

Another thing is that when you hit the start button, pull the upper thread until the machine goes two or three times. It helps the bobbin thread to come up and the machine start sewing.I you leave it along the thread sometimes doesnot comes up and that is why the machine beeps.

I use this technique to make sure it doesnt beep and to cut the thread (the one at the beginning so it doesn't mess my design)

I had to replace a bobbin case because either a design ( I made) was too dense or my thread caught on something and the machine needed to be timed. When I did the test stitching in sew mode it stitched...

Being simple minded as i am, if your singer ce100 works the stitch looks good just be glad you are not having the problems so many are, if you want to see bobbin thread on bottom tighten top tension

Top thread will not pick up bobbin thread makes a big loopy mess

This is sometimes caused by the upper thread not threaded correctly. You need to thread it first with the pressure foot in the up position. You need to "floss" the thread into the clear plastic guide as this is where the tension is. The tension should be set to E for embroidering. Also make sure you get the bobbin thread in the slot on the bobbin case. Also, lower your pressure foot before you begin embroidering. Hope this helps!

Singer Futura 350 bogus thread breaking error

I had the same problem for a LONG time. Yesterday I finally removed the top and the cover for the upper tension and found thread fragments under one of the discs. I removed it and used compressed air for dust clean out and it is working wonderfully. Good Luck

Can't thread the bobbin on a singer futura CE 150

Be sure the bobbin thread is coming off from the left. There is a picture on my Futura bed that shows the correct way to insert the bobbin. If the thread is comming off from the right you will have the problem you described.

Good luck,

I am trying to do letter embroidery on my Futura 350 and I keep getting constant error messages about thread breaking even when there is no visible sign of that. Also, the bobbin thread side is bunching...

Check out your threading with "Machine setup" Tutorial under Help submenu and whether the thread tension control on the front panel is set to "E".

P.S. The error message about thread breakage appears not only when the thread is really broken but if the sewing speed is not changing smoothly (for example if design is not optimised).

I have a Futura CE 150 and it has been working great. I just started using it again, and now when I stitch it out on the edges it has the bobbin thread on it.. I threaded the bobbin right, and also the...

This has worked for me.

1. Make sure the tension dial is set at E.
2. Remove the bobbin case with thread in it.
3. Tape three quarters to the end of the thread.
4. Hold the bobbin case up. Given your problem, the quarters should be dropping to the ground.
5. Tighten the tension screw until the quarters are just a tiny bit away from dropping. You don't want it tighter than that because it will be too tight.
6. Put the bobbin in and test embroider.

This fix came from Jim at the Futura Yahoo group. It is a group well worth joining.
