THE PITCH slider or the variable resistor could have gone faulty. A new pitch is only $25 i think. They may need to salvage the pcb from your old one as technics no longer manufacters them. I've never seen the pitch led stay on lock when the actual pitch is not at zero. Hopefully the pitch did not short out the brake or the variable resistors on the motor's circuitboard.

lift the metal disk of your table gently remove screws from the plastic cover beneath it . under the cover there is a small sircuit and tow magnetic tuning wheels. one for the pitch and the other for the start and stop button. maybe they will help if u tune them as u desire

Ah thanks man, typical though i took it into the repair shop today but nevermind I needed the pitch pot fixing as well but at least it isnt going to cost me anymore than the standard repair fee:)
