Depending on your cell phone provider, most Pearls will come with AIM. It is part of the applications they put on the phone. If you cannot find it, go to this link with your blackberry phone:
http://www.blackberry.com/aim
Then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the install.

Try holding these keys simultaneoulsy.
ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE Until you get a blank screen then power on.
Failing that power off, remove your battery for 30 seconds and then power on.

To help you with this problem, I want you to know that when a cellphone
got fell, the main problem will be make is lost in display,you will not
see anything but you can hear something like message tone and start-up
tone, you can also receive calls. Don't be worry with that kind of
problem. To tell you whats happening inside your phone is your LCD of
display connection is only misaligned. Get it to the nearest cellphone
repair center to get your cellphone to be open by a technician and
probably they will do dismantling your phone and fix the problem. Hope
