There was a problem with the computer restarting before it would even boot into windows, and i narrowed it down to a problem with the internet. When i uninstalled the drivers in safe mode, it booted normally and told me the computer had recovered from a serious problem. but as soon as the notification bubble in the bottom right said "new hardware found: Zoom Wireless-G USB", the computer restarted without a warning and went back to square one. So I disconnected it from the USB and now the computer works fine, but of course does not have internet access.
So, is it the Zoom adaptor that is faulty and I need to get a new one? Or is there a way to fix it some way (preferably from safe mode, as if i plug it in normally it doesn't work)?
Here is the link for updated driver. Fixes problem with BSOD and system restarts (Zoom 4410A)

Try updating your windows OS..some components might need to be installed. Check also the website of zoom if they have a updated driver that may fix the issue.
You might also want to check some softwares/driver that may conflict zoom.
I need 2 download the pluggins 4 my zoom wireless-g usb model 4410b i lost my cd rom 4 it can u help me please cheers
I posted my symptoms above last month. The solution that has worked for me (so far) on WinXP is to use driver update function in the device manager and have it look on the internet for the latest version of the driver. (Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager - right click and update driver)
From memory it came back with a driver version that did not appear to be very specific to my 4410B, but it has been working fine for the past few weeks on my XP desktop. Maybe it was a more generic driver?? Worth a try if you're having trouble. I wasn't able to contact Zoom or find a more recent driver for the 4410B. Good luck!
Buy a new wireless adapter and never purchase anything from zoom. that will teach companies that our money cost a lot.
The ftp site suggested above doesn't have a reference to th e 4410a adaptor. There is an error message "no such directory" (ftp://ftp.zoom.com/pub/4410A_WLanUIG.zip).
I have contacted zoom and was told to update a sys file
First power up the laptop without the adapter plugged in
Download a file from zoom FTP site
ftp://ftp.zoom.com/pub/4410A_WLanUIG.zip
Unzip the file and then copy it to C;\windows\system32\drivers to replace the old one
then power off the PC and plug the USB wireless G adapter.
it worked for me

I have the exact same problem. My Zoom worked flawlessly for months until 1 day, out of the blue it rebooted. I removed and reinstalled all Zoom files, etc with no help. Re-formated harddrive, reloaded XP and SP2, they installed Zoom and poof- same thing. Looks like I picked the wrong month
to stop drinking....
I have the same problem too.... Help
I have a similar problem. Installed the 4410B a few days ago and it has been working ok, but today I had a blue screen and following that a few hours later my PC locked up with no blue screen while surfing the web. I suspect there is a conflict of sorts, but unable to find it so far. the Zoom website is useless and doesn't even support the 4410B model. My driver/firmware is dated Mar 27 2008 v 1.7.1.4. Config util is v4.1.1.15
my laptop restarts with a blue screen appearing for a few seconds everytime i try to repair my wireless.the wireless shows limited connectivity..it was working fine till a few days ago.now it shows limited connectivity to the network
I have a 4410A and it worked great for a couple of months and then my computer started to restart over and over. I thought it was the hard drive and bought a new one......long story short I did that for nothing, like the others I narrowed it down to the zoom wireless drive. I am trashing it and going to buy a reliable brand. That is my solution.
My laptop does exactly the same
