Roku player not finding Netflix server. D-Link 625 router
The wireless network seems to work fine, I can ping the Roku player and the MAC address shows up in the status. So why doesn't it go out over the internet and find Netflix?
Watch Netflix all last week, now no sound while on roku but sound works while on regular cable tv.Watch Netflix all last week, now no sound while on roku but sound works while on regular cable tv.

Connect the Roku Once you see the Roku box's welcome screen, press the "Select" button on your Roku box's remote control.
Select the type of network connection you have (wired or wireless) on the network screen, and provide the necessary information that applies to your network. Once a network connection is established, you should see the activation screen with an activation code.
Visit the Netflix activation website on your computer (www.netflix.com/activate) and log in to your account if asked to do so. Enter the activation code on your television screen into the text box on the activation page. The Roku box will now activate.
reset your roku box the mac address on the box is conflicting make sure your router has no restrictions on the mac addresses it allows on the network also turn off your network firewall that can block roku boxes.
1.Try disbaling and enabling the wireless lan card
2.Check whether Ip addresses assigned in the wireless network card.If the address is assigned by dhcp and not assigned in network card means assign static ip in the range supported in the networkand ping the website or gateway.
3.If the ip is assigned already means try pinging the gateway and dns server .If ping is success means the connection between router and pc and internet is good .In that case you have to check whether authentication is successful if any authentication is used.
Connect the modem to the router and the router to the roku player(wired/wireless)
Restart the roku player and check if you are able to see the welcome screen If yes configure the settings on the player Choose the network type,if wireless enter the security mode after connecting to the network Then link the roku player and then activate your netflix account
If No then change the input on the television using the television remote
Access its built-in web-server (as per the instructions in the manual that came with the hardware) and:
1. change the "admin" password
2. add "MAC-address-filtering", to severely limit the MAC-address(es) of the computer(s) that you wish to allow to connect.
You need to setup a Port Forwarding / Virtual Server (FTP) in the router to forward port 21 (FTP default) to your FTP server's FTP port. You may need to setup a reserved IP address for the FTP server first in the router before the option comes up.
Sometimes the security settings will only let certain MAC addresses connect to the network as well as the password protection. Make certain that yours isn't filtering out MAC addresses.
Hi
How to check the print server is in the wireless network or not!!
Check under the Router Setup page Router's ip address...
Check if you are able to ping the Print Server Ip address....Since it the router will assign a ip address from DHCP range..
If you are able to ping the router's ip address and the print server ip address then the print server is in the Wireless LAN...
Try the following steps.
1. Go to run and type "cmd" press enter
2. type ipconfig.
3. Check the range of ip address...if its 192.168.0.XX
4. Try pinging that ip address..
5. If able to ping the router and print server.. Then the wireless network is fine...
Somehow some of the printer's don't work with some of the print servers.. Check if D-link does support the printer or not!!!! for this particular model of the router...
