It is either inserted incorrectly or the bobbin case needs replacing. Check the bobbin case by running finger tip around the outside of case, if rough spot needs replace. There is a ltch that is spring loaded you must hold back with small bladed screwdriver while inserting case for proper placement

Why wont my singer futura xl-400 bobbin case stay in place and keeps getting jammed

Hi, I just want to make sure. Do you put the bobbin under the little hook and then pull it up the case?

Singer 2662 bobbin case keeps popping out.

Check our bobbin for burrs and damage. If the thread catches a rough edge it can pop the bobbin out. Try a different bobbin with new thread... see if that helps. If it does your current bobbin is likely trash.

Hope that helps.

My bobbin on my Singer 4562 keeps bunching up the threads, can you help?

If you have the black bobbin case you must make sure you use only a good mercerised thread, there should be enough gap between the edge of the bobbin case and the silver adjuster to allow the thread to pass through, if there is not then you must slacken off the two screws and move it over a fraction.

Problems with Singer 2732

"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.

Bobbin case

Hi Anjulie
Singer has come up with another clip on the bobbin case- you will have to take your machine to a dealer for that.  They also have a boobin cover with two depressions on it to keep the bobbin better in place - ask your dealer for it.
