Tonage or BTU/hour rating from Ruud name plate

I tried to find out the tonage or BTU/hour rating from my current year 2002 Ruud name plate but could not find it. I could only find the fan motor horse power, compressor high and low pressures, mortor amperage and voltage, circuit breaker amperage, L.R.A. and R.L.A. (I don't know what they are.), freon R-22 and quantity, but no rating. Please advise.

Ton/btu's is in the model number at the top of name plate. Numbers will be divisible by 12. usually 24,30,36 . example 30 represents 30,000 btu rating 24divided by 12 makes it a 2 ton unit. 30 is 2.5 ton .36 is 3 ton

LRA how to convert in tonage so 10 LRA How many ton and 145 LRA Copland scroll compressor tonage value pleas give me answer

LRA on the data tag stands for "locked rotor amps" and has nothing to do with tonnage. In the model # there should be a number to use. And divide that # by 12 (12,000 btu/ton). So if I had a PFG24H200 it would be the "24"and a 2 ton unit

What is the tonage looking for the tonage

It will usually be in the model number on the unit. You will have to supply the model number and possibly the serial number for us to see. Thanks!

Whats the tonage of this condenser

Tons of cooling or heating are done by btus.

So 6000 btus is 1/2 a ton,12000 btus is 1 ton.And so on.

You need to get the total btu rating off the unit then figure it out.

I am looking at buying one but how do i tell what the hp is if not stated and how to find out the BTU thanks Jenine

With air conditioning, you want to go by BTU ratings, not horsepower. If you can get number straight off the compressor, an a/c supplies could get you an approximate BTU rating.
In most cases, the "Tonage" is in the model number.
Remember, 1 ton of cooling is 12K BTU's per hour.
Hope this helps.
