The double dashes in your display are for one of two reasons. First situation would be would be "you turned the unit off". Press the up arrow on the feezer or fresh food control until a 4 is in each display. Second, if the control is locked out, the board has been scrambled or failed possibly from a power surge. Unplug unit for 30 seconds, and plug it back in and try to set control's for "4". If controls are still locked out, the board (12868513) needs to be replaced.
Petroni0264 has it right. Had the double dashes in the displays (fridge); power still working to fridge. Repair guy just replaced the circuit board for $275- you can buy the part online for $55 + SH and the repair didn't even require moving the fridge. Just remove the light housing and replace the board, simple stuff. Try it before you call the repair guy.

Sorry for not replying sooner, but wanted to wait 24 hours to make sure that the problem was solved.
Unplugged the fridge for 30 seconds, plugged back in. This solved the problem. I checked the owners manual, this is not one of the trouble shoooting suggestions.
Thanks for your help in solving our problem.
Cheers,
