I have 2 Raynor avaitor garage door openers, today they both stopped working with the remotes outside the garage. The remote only works one out of every couple times you push the button inside the garage. I find it hard to believe that I have the same problem at the same time with two garage door openers.I put new batteries in both remotes & reprogrammed both remotes, still didn't change problem.
The receiver portion of your Main circut board is not working.
try to reset by unplugging your unit for a few seconds and then plug back in. If this doesn't work you will need to replace the logic board.
To test your opener (and antennae) start inside the garage and click the remote. if its ok try again outside the door and keep moving farther away each attempt. if it works up close ok probably the antennae is the problem
Check to seee if the little wire that hangs out of the operator is hanging out. This wire is the ant. if this is not the problem replace the 12volt battery you can buy them anywhere. make sure you didn't cut off the ant. wire (I have seen customers cut thios wire thinking its an extra and not needed or place the wire inside the box very little signal that way have to be very close)
If both remotes exhibited shorter range starting at the same time, then the problem is in something common to the two transmitters. That of course would be the receiver or the wireless environment.
1. If the receiver (or it's antenna ) was somehow blocked or changed, then change it back.
2. Check for receiver damage by trying a replacement receiver that you can return.
3. If the above doesn't uncover the problem, then you might have new radio-interference that you didn't have before. That's harder to correct. Turn off electrical devices that may interfere such as dimmers etc..
4. If new outside radio-interference is the culprit, you might need something that operates on a different frequency.
