Maybe the contacts are saved in your sim and not on your phone. You must configure your phone to detect both sim and phone contacts.

If you have done a back up of your phone prior to update your Nokia N95 system, then simply connect your Nokia through the Connection Manager, and use the restore function. Doing this will restore all the files that were backed up before.

In regards to your contacts, your SIM card should have copies of your contacts saved on it. This can be done by going to Contacts > Options > SIM Contact > Sim Directory and just copy all the contacts to your phone.

Unfortunately there is no other methods to restore messages and contacts, if you haven't backed up prior to the system update and saved contacts to your SIM card. Just remember to do a regular backup and always copy contacts to your SIM card.

puk codes are a lock placed on the sim card. you can call the customer service line for your carrier and they can give you the code or you can have the sim card replaced.

Select Menu- go to settings -select network-change operator selection to manual your mobile will scan for the network and select the network and check the signal strength..If signal strength is still low contact your operator (customer service).

this is the code from your sim carrier.most companies default code is 0000.If its not working then you should go to customer service centre of your sim company and ask for the puk code..

only the network service provider can give u the puk code.
u need to call the customer care from any mobile ,same as of ur network,
talk to customer care executive, he will ask u to give the sim card number, a 16 digit number written on one side of the sim, then the customer care executive will tell u the puk number.

You'll probably find they're already on the sim, if not here's how to copy them over.
Open contacts, options, SIM contacts, SIM directory; you should see all contacts that are on your sim. If there's none there, select back which will take you to your contacts; choose options again, scroll to mark/unmark press select then mark all, all contacts should now have a tick beside then. Then options again, copy & lastly to sim directory.

or else if u dont use ur computer u can also
have the problem solved with your phone itself.

Check your contacts maybe you enter smae numbers on a 2 different contacts
