My lg touch says insert smart chip when its already in...when it first started all i had to do was turn it off then turn it on and it would work for a little before it happened again. Now it just stays on the message, ive tried taking out the sim card and using some one else's sim card but the same message appears, what is wrong with my phone?

I had this problem, and it resolved itself. I have no idea what prompts it, but try waiting a few hours. Turn off your phone and wait, keep checking back.

Try cleaning the contacts on the sim card. if that doesn't work go into the phone store and ask for a replacement sim.

There are several reasons for this message. Has your sim been activated by your servide provider? If not, you must call them.

Has your sim expired or been damaged in some way? If so, it must be replaced.

Have you inserted the sim correctly? The gold contacts of the card must be facing down, and the cut corner must be facing out of the card slot, pointing to the right hand side.

Do you have the right sim for your phone's cellular service provider? If your phone is locked to one provider you can't use a sim card from another provider, unless the phone is unlocked.
