This will very depending on your phone manufacture and model. In general you will go to
1) settings
2) Device (this is only on some smart phones, if you don't see this skip this step)
3) Sounds and Notifications
4) Ring tones and sound
5) To change your ring tone choose Ringtone
6) to change message ringtone (ex, Text or email) choose Message
7) If you have a smart phone you can changes your notification sound by clicking on Notification Sounds. (a notification is when your lets you know you have received a missed call, text, email. it notifies you of something)
Scroll to Notification settings section then tap Message alert repetition.
Here you can see three options available on pop up menu. They are:
Once: Choose this option if you want your phone ring the tone just once when receiving an incoming messages.
Every 2 minutes: Choose this option if you want your phone ring the tone every 2 minutes until you open the message.
every 10 minutes: Choose this option if you want your phone ring the tone every 10 minutes until you open the message.
Tap the required message alert repetition option you wish to use. When the dot indicator next to the option shows green means the option is selected.
Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.
By adjusting message alert repetition just once or more than once, now your phone will notify you when receiving new message and repeating the tone according to the settings you've just done. So, what's the option you use on your phone?
Go to Settings, Personal tab,. click Sounds and Notifications. Click Notifications tab then choose event from drop down menu. Pick Messaging: New text message/ or New email message. Check the play sound box then choose from the drop down menu the alert tone you prefer.
:)
best way to change tones is to download them on to your pc and then connect your phone to pc with samsung software that should have come with the phone and copy tones in to music folder of your mobile. not sure on the wallpaper - im guessing they have to be particularl size to display correctly ?
In the 90s, cell phone companies and pager companies use to provide a seperate phone number answered by a computer that you could dial with your computer modem which would page/text a specific device you specified.
Most cell phone companies no longer offer this service.
WinFax/TalkWorks can notify your pager or cellular phone (using SMS messaging) whenever new faxes or voice messages arrive.
WinFax/TalkWorks works with Tone Only, Numeric, Personalized Numeric, and Alphanumeric pagers. To use the pager notification feature, you must know:
1.the capabilities of your pager/cellular phone 2. the telephone numbers WinFax/TalkWorks must dial to connect to your service provider 3. your personal identification number (if your pager supports this feature)
When sending text messages on the samsung soul u900 there is a tone sounds for every message sent, can this be disabled and is so how do you disable it, its so annoying!!!
Is this a tone that is played when the screen says 'message sent'?
If so try editing your profiles. In the menu for every profile (with the exception of silent i think) there is an option for phone sound volume. Try putting that to zero......
If its the one that plays becuase you ask for a delivery report of a sent message then you cant silence that without silencing all text messages.
