I know what you're going through as it is common on Belkin routers. There are actually some good solutions to this found on youtube for simple instruction to help demostrate but I'm gleaned you already have done some of the advanced steps. Here is my question did you ever set your xbox 360 with a static ip address and then add it to the firewall/virtual server settings. You put the static ip address in and the xbox 360 ports.

SOURCE: I am trying to get

Was it working befor you used a static IP in the device? check the firewall rules, you could try seting a dynamic IP on the device than looke for it in the DHCP table of the router to open the correct ports to the correct IP (temporarely) to see if *** works, than do the same with a static IP (STEP BY STEP) there is no reason for it not working with static IP versus dynamic IP, you could also try a DMZ on the IP's device (temporary) to make sure it's not the firewall

Good luck!

Hey Ben, when you access your settings page do you see the option for applications and gaming? That's where you would change the nat.. Just remember that you must set the start and end ports correctly and you must put in the correct IP address before enabling it.. Let me know if this solved the problem and good luck..

Hi,

You'll need to setup port forwarding on your router.
From a computer use an internet browser such as Internet Explorer.
Assuming the router is using default settings.

1) In the address bar type in 192.168.1.1
2) You'll be asked for a username and password. Username is 'admin' and the password is 'password', no quotations.
3) Click on 'Port Forwarding / Port Triggering' on the left side bar.
4) Click on the Port Forwarding radio button.
5) Click the 'Add Custom Service' button.
6) For Service Name call it something meaningful, such as 'PS3.
7) For Service Type choose 'TCP/UDP'.
8) For starting port and ending port use '9301'.
9) For server IP use the IP address of the PS3, you can get this in the PS3 menu under Network Settings.
10) Click Apply

UPnP is supported by your router. On the left side bar, click 'UPnP'.

How do i fix error 80701b23

80710B23 - PS3 Network is Down or PS3 Network is too busy to respond.

The port numbers for PlayStation®Network servers used for this are TCP: 80, 443, 5223 and UDP: 3478, 3479.

My guess is you need to reset your router. then you need to port forward the ports for playstation.
see below for port forwarding instructions

Once you open the set up interface of the router, you will be able to find the settings on the router where you can open the ports for the particular program.
If you are opening the ports for a special device in your network, then you must know the IP address of that device.
For example, wireless camera, DVR, X-box, Play station ...
You can choose the option PORT FORWARDING for a special device application.
If you just want to open the ports for all the network, then you can choose PORT TRIGGERING

For Linksys Router.

You have opened the set up interface of the router. You will see Application and Gaming TAB at the top.
If you click on that tab you will find different Sub tabs.
Click on Port Triggering => Here you can open the port numbers for the network.
Click On Port forwarding if you want to open the ports for a special device in the network.
Click Save settings once you open the ports on the router.

For D-link router

You have opened the set up interface of the router.
You will see Network settings in the left hand side panel of the page.
Click on Network settings and go to the Advanced TAB at the top.
Now you will find the option. Pot Forwarding in the left hand panel.
Here you can open the ports on the router.

BELKIN wireless router

You have opened the set up interface of the router.

Type the port(s) specified by the program manufacture for both of the Private port fields.Click the Apply Changes button.

NETGEAR Router.

Change the value of Port Triggering Timeout as 20 Click on Add Service. Specify a Unique/User Defined name under Service Name. Ex: Mails, VPN. Specify the Service User as Any (if all the computers in the network are port triggered or if a single computer on a network is port triggered specify the IP address of the computer). Select the Service Type of the port to be triggered
Ex: TCP . Specify the Trigger Port (The port to be triggered). Select the Connection Type of Inbound Connection. Specify the Starting and Ending Port for Inbound Connection. Click Apply to accept changes. Your router is now set up for port triggering..

Have netgear, trying to get x-box live on computer that is wireless. it will not work

you can go with the following steps to configure the x-box live with netgear:-
1)First and foremost you should be aware of the wireless settings you have on the router i.e ssid(broadcast name) and the type of security(wep or wpa-psk) and the password for that.
2)On the X-Box get into the setting's menu where you will find and option for wireless set up and then scan for the network , it will automatically scan your ssid , select that and will ask for the password enter that and you will be connected.
3)Go for the connection test if it's successful then play games with it and if not then follow these procedure:-
a)Get any computer which has the internet access to it , Open the IE page and in the address bar type http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1/, a small window will prompt up asking for user name and password which is admin and password respectively.
b)You will be navigated to router administrator page , you will have a blue/purple column on the left hand side which has the different setting options in there.
c)Under the title Advanced you will find a subtitle WAN set up left click on that option and the page will appear in the middle of the screen.
d)Under WAN set up there is an icon for DMZ server tick that box and then enter the ip address:-192.168.0.20 and and left click on apply at the bottom and the page will get refreshed.
e)Go back to X-box live and under wireless set up select manual setting's , it will ask to enter the following information:-
ssid(broadcast name)
security type(wep/wpa-psk) and password to it
ip address:-192.168.0.20
subnet mask:-255.255.255.0
default gateway:-192.168.0.1
Primary DNS:-192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS:-leave that blank and apply the setting's
f)Go for the connection test and it will have the successful connection.

The value for the starting and ending port will be same i.e if suppose we have a port no. 80 for the ip:-192.168.1.15 and tcp as the service to open then this is how it will be done:-
Service name:-abc
Service type:-tcp
Starting port:-80

Set NAT to open for Xbox only, not computers

This is entirely not the issue for NAT setting's . In this case we have to open the port numbers on the router to get the successful connection test.
The port numbers will be given by the Microsoft support services . Once we have the port numbers and the Ip of the Xbox following steps can be taken to enter the given numbers:-
1)Open the router gui with 192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net by typing it in the address bar for the user name as admin and password as the word password only.
2)On the Netgear smart wizard .left hand side you will find a small blue/purple column with different categories , look for the one that says advanced and click on port forwarding/port triggering and select port forwarding from there and click on Add custom service from the bottom .
3)A new screen will appear which will have the following options:-

Service name:-abc
Service type:-tcp
Starting port:-80
Ending Port:-80
Server Ip Address:-192.168.1.15

Go for the connection test after forwarding all the port numbers.
